Prior to her appointment at UNC Charlotte, Ms. Deming worked as the Program Chair of the Polysomnographic Technology Program at Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. She has also worked on committees and projects for many national sleep organizations. She has served on the International Committee and Job Task Analysis for the BRPT and currently sits on the Committee on Accreditation of Polysomnographic Technologist Education Programs as their President. Auburne has also served as the President and legislative liaison for the Iowa Sleep Society and participated in presentations for the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and American Association of Sleep Technologists. She has also served as a textbook reviewer for various publishers and regularly participates in speaking engagements throughout the U.S.
