Jaesoon provides faculty development and support services in the areas of course design and learning technologies. She collaborates with faculty members on the design and development of blended/online courses and the re-design of large enrollment courses. Jaesoon strives to enhance quality of the courses offered at UNC Charlotte by integrating learning technologies and course design standards such as Quality Matters (QM) and National Center for Academic Transformation (NCAT).
Jaesoon's prior job experience include product planning and usability engineering at Microsoft, research on electronics service design at Samsung, and research on educational applications of ubiquitous/pervasive technologies at Indiana University. With these experiences, Jaesoon likes to collaborate on technology research and development projects focusing on user perspectives and instructional purposes. Jaesoon obtained her Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University Bloomington, M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from the University of Georgia, and B.A. in English Language and Literature from Pusan National University, South Korea.
