It's a virtual classroom environment that enables a student to attend class "live" from the comfort of his/her home and/or workplace - it's the next best thing to being there!

It is accessed using a web browser and enables the student to see and hear the instructor as well as respond to the instructor's questions with audio chat - just like a normal class. And since all classes using Centra are automatically recorded, you may watch the playback later at your convenience if you are unable to attend the "live" session. You can even use Centra to hold departmental meetings or virtual office hours!
