When will the wimba login be active again?  I was going to try and do a test run in my classes today and tomorrow... Thanks!

Is Wimba supported on Linux?

When I run the wizard, it gives 184 error (unable to write message). I have firewall disabled, still the same issue. Works fine with Windows.

Linux has limited support on Wimba

The Wimba Classroom 6.0 page, online at http://www.wimba.com/products/wimba_classroom/#wC-Requirements, briefly mentions Linux in the Technology Appropriate for Online Education area but it is not listed in the Requirements area. We have requirements posted on our Wimba: Technical Requirements page. The University supports Windows XP and Mac OS X.

As your post suggests error 184 is usually caused by a personal firewall or security application. It is possible to have to disable firewalls in more than one area or your security settings might be too high.
