This page of Moodle resources has been collected from Moodle.org and other places, and contains helpful information on various tools and processes within Moodle. Please note that the examples used may not look identical to our instance of Moodle, however you may find them helpful. Assignments

This feature allows students to submit their work to the instructor, who can then review it and provide feedback and grades.

  1. Upload a single file - Students can upload a file such as a word processing document, spreadsheet, or digital file.
  2. Advanced uploading of files – Allows students to upload multiple files and type a message along with their submission.
  3. Online text - When students type directly into Moodle.
  4. Offline activity – When an assignment is performed outside of Moodle.
Blogs

A blog is a form of an online journal which can be used for self expression and communication.

  1. Adding / editing a blog entry
  2. Blog preferences – Allows you to choose how many blog entries are displayed on a page.
  3. Add / delete tags - A tag is a relevant keyword or description associated with a blog.
  4. Blogger role - Determining who has permission to create and edit a blog.
Choices

Choices allows the instructor to collect ungraded feedback from students based on short one question surveys.

Forums

Allows the instructor and student to post messages to each other and communicate.
