Survey Regarding Clicker Satisfaction at UNC Charlotte

October 11, 2016

Satisfaction surveys were conducted for both students and faculty on their experience using the present clicker solution. The results are provided below (PDF documents).

The results of the surveys will be used by the Clicker Evaluation Committee, comprised of over 40 faculty, staff, and students, who will recommend whether we continue with our present clicker solution or adopt an alternative clicker system for the campus. Updates will be regularly provided on the committee's delibrations and progress.

To UNC Charlotte Faculty and Staff:

UNC Charlotte has supported clicker technology from Turning Technologies over the last 6 years. Recent changes in the cost to our students, the software, and the process of using the software have occurred requiring a review of the technology. It is important that we remain current with our instructional community as we support the intentional use of technology in the classroom.

We in the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) will be convening this fall semester, a clicker evaluation group comprised of faculty teaching with clickers, administrative units that use and support clickers, representatives of the bookstore, and the student government association. We are therefore providing a Clicker @ UNC Charlotte survey to evaluate your satisfaction with the Turning Technologies clicker or if the campus should evaluate new systems.

The survey will remain open until the Monday, October 3. I will send an email reminder on Wednesday, September 28.

Your support is much appreciated.

Best regards,
