KEYNOTE: Overcoming Hidden Biases & Creating an Inclusive Curriculum

Nona McDuff, Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Kingston University, is the featured speaker for an event that will kick-off a week of workshops open to faculty and students on the topic of diversity and inclusion in the curriculum.  In her keynote address, Ms. McDuff will examine debates/drivers of diversity and inclusion in Higher Education and discuss unconscious bias and its impact on learning and teaching.  Subsequent workshop will explore the principles of inclusive learning and teaching.

Nona was recently appointed to the UK’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) panel to help decide the future of the way the government assess UK universities.
