New Early Alert Process Using CONNECT (30-min. Webinar)

During this session you will learn how to raise early alerts using CONNECT by identifying students at-risk of failing based on current performance. Instructors teaching TOP 40 or Prospect for Success courses will also learn how to complete progress reports within the system. However, all instructors teaching a current course can still utilize the system to raise alerts.
CONNECT is an academic early alert system that has replaced Starfish for advising appointments and notes. It allows instructors to send systematic notifications to students regarding their academic progress in their courses via email. The progress report is an email notification that is sent to all TOP 40 and Prospect For Success faculty instructing them to complete the report by identifying only the students at-risk of failing if they continue their current trajectory in your course.
Fred Bowen photoLeeFredrick Bowen, Director for Academic Advising Systems in the Office of Undergraduate Education will lead this session. He also advises for undecided/undeclared students in the University Advising Center and teaches a Prospect for Success course in the fall semester.
