Technical Systems Team

Nate Trick

Nate provides technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students on the use of Canvas and other instructional technologies. He troubleshoots and resolves problems that arise in the day to day use of the Learning Management System (LMS) and monitors support calls assigned to the Center for Teaching and Learning. He also reviews, analyzes, and documents technical processes with regard to various instructional technologies.

Caryl Gordon

Caryl provides technical support and training for faculty, staff, and students on the use of the current LMS and other academic technologies. She creates technical documents for the UNC Charlotte FAQ site. Caryl also works with the Adjunct Faculty Learning Community and facilitates the Moodle 2 for Adjuncts and the Canvas for Adjuncts online workshops. She is adjunct faculty with the American Studies department and uses Canvas to teach an online intensive writing course. 

Mike Algozzine

Mike provides systems analysis, systems administration, software development, and tier 3 technical support for Moodle and other instructional technologies. He is also the project manager for UNC Charlotte's ongoing migration to web-based course evaluations. Mike is currently working on his Master's in Information Technology after obtaining a Bachelor's in Business Administration from UNC Charlotte in 1994.

Nicole Harris

As part of our Technical Systems Team, Nicole is responsible for applications programming and development. She analyzes new technologies to determine their feasibility and benefit to our campus, and then works towards implementing these technologies. She develops applications and other programmable solutions, integrating them with new and existing systems and processes. Nicole provides specialized consulting and technical support for various learning technologies.
