However, the logistics of developing, assigning, and evaluating presentations often pose challenges. This webinar provides you with strategies and techniques to overcome the challenges by outlining different ways students can engage in oral presentations, reviewing some basic criteria to include when developing assignments, and discussing evaluation and grading strategies. Heather Bastian is the Associate Director of Communication Across the Curriculum (CxC). CxC is a faculty driven, student focused program that consults with departments and individual faculty on how to integrate communication into the curriculum in ways that best facilitate student learning. Heather earned her PhD from the University of Kansas in English with a specialization in Rhetoric and Composition. She joined CxC with twelve years of experience teaching university-level writing and with research interests in the teaching of writing, writing program administration, and WAC/WID.
